Job Description

As a Game Level Designer Intern at Creative Monkey Games, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to design and build engaging game levels. Working closely with our team of designers, artists, and developers, you’ll create levels that captivate players, align with game mechanics, and enhance the overall gameplay experience. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design and development teams to create, test, and refine game levels.
• Develop layouts and level flow to ensure smooth gameplay and an enjoyable player experience.
• Implement and iterate on level designs based on feedback from team members and playtesters.
• Document design processes, challenges, and solutions for future reference and team communication.
• Ensure level designs align with the game’s visual and thematic style and support gameplay mechanics.
• Stay updated with industry trends and level design techniques to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Art, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of game design principles, mechanics, and player psychology.
• Familiarity with level design tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar software.
• Creative mindset with a keen interest in storytelling and world-building within games.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and feedback integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with level design in personal projects, game jams, or coursework.
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge, especially in languages like C# or Python.
• Understanding of UX and UI principles within games.
